Christmas Spice Tea

Ceylon Orange Pekoe blended with orange pieces, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and pink peppercorns.
Ceylon is a black tea from Sri Lanka which produces a wonderful, deep red brew with a rich aftertaste and a hint of spice. Orange Pekoe doesn’t simply refer to the colour of the infusion, rather this is a particular grade of black tea, the Dutch royal family in the 1600s was of the House of Orange, the best of the black teas were reserved for the royal family and so the highest grade tea became known as ‘orange’ pekoe. A lovely spiced, warming drink for the winter days with the scent of Christmas in every cup. 1 teaspoon per cup, steep in fresh boiling water for 3 minutes, strain and serve
